March 26, 2022 I became Mrs. Jason Thompsen! It was a magical day spent with family and friends and the memories made will never be forgotten.
We were married by our pastor at Heavenly Host Lutheran Church. My three children and Jason’s nephew stood up with us as we took our vows. Our pastor’s message reminded us of the importance of the work it takes to stay married long after the exciting part of the ceremony, food and dancing! He reminded us of the commitment we were making and the challenges that would no doubt be sure to come.
It was very meaningful to me to have both sets of my parents attend as well as my two best friends from Indiana. All of these people have been with me through the significant challenges and joy I have lived through over the past 30 years.

After the ceremony we enjoyed our favorite local food, drink and dancing at a beautiful rustic barn designed to be the perfect setting for our special night. Seeing all of our friends and family smile, laugh and dance was so heartwarming for me especially.

We decided to make our honeymoon especially adventurous by riding our Harley Davidson down to Savannah Georgia. It was a cold ride down but well worth it once we got there.
Remarriage at 57 was a somewhat scary idea at first but I know both my husband and myself are so excited and committed to sharing the “second half” of our lives together however long that may be. We look forward to the ups and downs of building this new life together. My prayer is that the Lord will give us a good number of years to enjoy it.

Dawn I love it that you are happy. Also love your families standing up for you both. Hugs.
